Chairpersons Update

We have made it to the final countdown and we all know we have quite a few injuries, but this is the last time I will talk about that.

Our boys have had two great training sessions this week and have the goods to get the job done. The starting 15 we have named all know what is required this weekend. The amount of heart and pride our boys have been showing over the last few weeks has been massive and this is why "WE ARE TUKAPA". We are second to none with our "roll up your selves and get the job done" attitude. Even our new fellas to Tukapa this year have adopted this attitude. Take our new lock Alex Perry, who moved here from Stratford as a green lock who hadn’t played much Premier Rugby. With the help of the coaches and senior players Leighton and Mitchell guiding him, he is now a force that we wouldn’t go to battle without.

I know I am biased but to me, Tukapa has that edge that no other club has and our teams are willing to put their bodies on the line for each other and our club.

Now as true Blue and White supporters we need to show our players the same never give up attitude and put our bodies and voices on the line, we need all 500 members at Tukapa this Saturday, and let's show Coastal we are a club of 500 passionate rugby supporters, that will get our boys across the line. There is no reason why we can’t belt out our words of a little bird from the side-line and really help the boys home.

The plan for Saturday: The bar opens at 1pm with sausage in white death (bread) on the deck, then at 2.30pm we ask all current players to meet down by the big flags to form a tunnel to the field then a few words to be sung as the players come onto the field, and it would really good if the players could all watch from that same area to make the western end of the ground somewhere that only Tukapa players want to visit.

I know, every week I sign off these newsletters with a see you Saturday but, this week I really do want to see you Saturday dressed in Blue and White and bringing the noise to show our support to our number one team.

Those who can't make the game. Watch it live on our Facebook page. Game buildup at 2.35pm and kick off at 2.45pm
