Chooks Weekly Newsletter
Kia ora Tukapa Whānau,
This week sees almost all our Tukapa teams playing away, with only two junior games being played at the Chook House.
In the senior space, our Colts enjoy a well-earned bye, while our Toa women head south to take on Southern. Our Division 1, Division 2 and Premier Men all travel to Tikorangi to take on Clifton in what should be a great day of rugby.
The weather looks like another absolute ripper of a Saturday. Man, have we been lucky with the blue skies each weekend this season. Who said rugby was a winter sport?
This week's newsletter is on the shorter side due to a lack of time and a whole lot of Jimmybot work, but there are plenty of exciting events coming up over the next few weeks.

SUPPORT OUR NETBALL PREMIERS
Starting tonight, our Tukapa Netball Premiers take the court at TSB Stadium. These ladies are always out supporting our rugby teams each week, so now it's our turn to give something back.
Get along to TSB Stadium at 6.30pm and cheer our ladies on. A strong crowd always makes a difference and it would be great to see plenty of blue and white in the stands.

LADIES DAY
Next weekend sees the return of one of the most popular events on our calendar – Ladies Day.
The Ford Tent will be set up on the dead ball line and the afternoon will feature nibbles, drinks, music, lucky prize draws and, of course, a great afternoon of rugby.
Ladies, tell your partners they're in charge of the kids for the day and get your crew together. It is always a fantastic afternoon and one of the highlights of the season.
UNDER THE SEA PARTY
Following Ladies Day, we roll straight into our Rugby and Netball Mid-Year Party with an "Under the Sea" theme.
We will have a mechanical surfboard, DJ Teps on the decks spinning the tunes, prizes for best dressed and prizes for the team with the most players in attendance.
Get those costumes sorted and be ready for what promises to be another memorable Tukapa night.

PRIZEGIVING – DAY AT THE RACES
Our annual Prizegiving is also fast approaching on Saturday 25 July.
This year's theme is "A Day at the Races" and will feature six live race events throughout the evening. If previous club functions are anything to go by, this will be another outstanding night and one not to be missed.
Tickets will be on sale shortly, so keep an eye out for more information.

FINAL MERCHANDISE ORDER
As many of you will have seen, our final merchandise order for the season is now live.
If you've been thinking about grabbing some gear, now is the time. Orders can be placed through LockerRoom or by getting into Kingsway before Sunday.
Don't miss your last chance to get kitted out in the blue and white for 2026.

THE RETURN OF THE BANTAMS
One of the most exciting announcements this week is the return of the NZ Forestry Under 85kg Bantams to national competition.
We are fortunate to have a fantastic coaching group stepping up, with Zinny, Werder and Denty leading the side. The team will be captained by our international player and crowd favourite, Weasel.
Next Thursday night at 7.30pm we will be holding a quick information evening at the clubrooms for anyone interested in being involved.
If you're under 85kg, or know someone who is, come along and bring your mates. We'd love to see a strong group of players get behind the return of this great team.

That's all from me this week.
Good luck to all our teams travelling this weekend. Travel safe, play hard and represent the blue and white with pride.
See you on the sidelines this week in your Tukapa colours.
Love our family. Love our club.
